This project
is projected to be a joint project between Orange County and the Town of Chapel Hill and is slated here for Year 5. An immediate second phase would
construct a gymnasium structure that would be completed at the end of the park construction project ($3.0 million flexible space construction). The Town of
Chapel Hill staff and administration have expressed interest in partnering with the County on this park, and the budget reflects the concept of 50% capital
funding and 100 %operations and personnel funding from the Town. The Chapel Hill Town Council has not yet considered this project, but it is being assessed
by the Town's Darks elan consultant.
32
Project Status
Recommended
Starting Date
711212014
Completion Date 71112018
Year 2 Year 3 Year 4
Year 5
Five
Year 6
Fiscal Year Fiscal Year Fiscal Year
Fiscal Year
Year
to
2012 -13 2013 -14 2014 -15
2015 -16
Total
Year 10
100,000
6,400,000
6,500,000
3,000,000
264,802 - - - - 100,000 6,400,000 6,500,000 i 3,000,000
400,000
500,000
900,000
76,090
188,712
50,000 3,200,000 3,250,000
50,000 3,200,000 3,250,000
100.000 6,400,000 6
1,500,000
1,500,000
900.000
Millhouse Road Park, a 79 -acre site just north of Chapel Hill, is projected to include a soccer field complex, walking trails and other park amenities.
