We reviewed the report and recommendations. All recommendations requiring a response for you are being addressed at this time; .1.Oyercrowding,,,.,onday of „inspection; We have addressed the overcrowding found on the date of inspection; our corrective action; our Boards of Commissioners is aware of the situation and have appropriated capital funds to add bed Space in our jail. A study is being conducted by the Consulting Group assigned by the Commissioners. We are awaiting their recommendations, 2, Exit door to,.rec. yard; We have ordered the dual sided cylinder for the door and will be replaced within the next week. We addressed the lock mechanism key tumbler} having been tampered with by inmates placin . g paper ~n the key slot. Our correction action, each day the staff will check the lock twice daily marn~n . g and evening to insure the key slot ~s clear, 3. ins ectian of the hoods stem in the kitchen Inspection of the kitchen hood; Our 6 month scheduled inspection of the hood was conducted on August 14, 214 and an January 28, 2011. .~ rm ane1, __ Ire a a,...,_~ ,.. Our public works department has had the alarm checked and the problem has been repaired. 5 Fire hose reel; Public works has spoken with David Sykes the fire marshal the hose was not re wired q by the f re code when the annex was built. They are discussing removal of the hose and re lacin with a . P g commercial strength garden hose for cleaning purposes only. .
