5. Print your new account. <br />• Click on the printer icon on toolbar. <br />• Make sure all the data you entered looks right on the record card as shown in print preview. <br />• Click on the print icon and verify the data on the printed record card. <br />6. Go into process menu and run a valuation. <br />• From Main Menu screen, click on Process Menu. <br />• Click on the Valuation Button (bright green money — top left) <br />• A message will appear telling you that all assets will be revalued, and asking if you want to continue. <br />• Say, "Yes" to this message. <br />• The Valuation will start running, this process should not take very long. A box will appear when the process is <br />finished, telling you how long it took to run. Click OK. <br />- - - -- - — - - -• --- %ile-stili-in the- Process -Menu, click -on- the - Commitment- button -(top <br />• A message will appear telling you what the process will do, and asking if you want to continue. <br />• Say, "Yes" to this message. <br />• The Commitment will start running, this process should not take very long. A box will appear when the process is <br />finished, telling you how long it took to run. Click OK. <br />7. Compare the values from LA4 and the Tax Code Summary reports. The totals should match. Go <br />into System Valuation and make sure values match above 2 reports. <br />• Click on the Report Menu button <br />• Select Personal Property / State Reports / Massachusetts Reports / LA4 from the directory tree and press the 'printer <br />button. <br />• Select Tax Code Summary report from the same folder and print that one as well. <br />• The Total Assessed Values should match each other. Also all of the included in value totals from the Tax Code <br />Summary report should match the values in the LA4. <br />8. Run a Personal Property Transfer file. <br />• Select Extracts / Personal Property / Common Extracts / Personal Property File — Standard, and click on the Extract <br />button. <br />• Click on the ok button to accept text as the output format. <br />• Change the name of the file to test and the date so you can find the output file (ex: testfeb1txt). <br />• Click on Yes to retrieve current data. <br />• Enter 0 as the beginning account number <br />• Enter Z as the ending account number <br />• Your extract file may take a little while to "write data to file" depending on number of the size of the extract. <br />• Look at the extract file in c:\AssessProTrograms\yourfl1e name.txt. Open this in notepad and make sure the word <br />wrap is off (in the edit menu it should not have a checkmark next to "Word Wrap ") the columns should all be lined <br />up. If this is the first time you have seen an extract have someone give it a quick look over to make sure it seems <br />right. <br />• Close out of notepad and out of the report module. <br />9. Verify data in the system Table. <br />• Go back to the Personal Property screen, click on Descriptive Tables button (file cabinet), and select System <br />Table. <br />• The current tax year should be next year (the fiscal year is always a year ahead). <br />• The Base Depr. Year should be filled in. <br />• The Values Committed checkbox should be checked off. <br />10. Verify that Summary Valuation & Prior History screen is displaying a previous assessment history <br />on existing accounts.
