Create a new account <br />• Click the Add button on the Account Detail screen (yellow folder). <br />• Select Add New Record by clicking OK <br />• Fill in main fields: business & owner names, DBA, Street No./Dir /Street, state code & type. <br />• Note the following: <br />Account #: <br />Business Name: <br />Location: <br />Owner Name <br />2. Enter line items on the Account Asset Detail screen and override cost and depreciation. <br />• Click on the red Parcel Data button and select Account Asset Detail from the list or click on the double white paper <br />button <br />• Click on the Add button. <br />• Select an Asset Type by either using the list from the drop down box or typing a number into the field. <br />• In the middle scrolling area enter a number (quantity) into the # column. <br />• Enter a year in the Year New column. <br />• Check the OR Cost checkbox and enter a value in the Or Unit Cost to override the cost. <br />• Select a different Qual Code and Cond Code from the drop down list box. <br />• Check the Ovr Depr checkbox to override depreciation. <br />• Select something from the Dep Sch list box. <br />• Select a value from the Asset Stat drop down list. <br />• Click on Save. <br />• ** **need to verify that each of these parts makes the correct difference on the value <br />3. Close this account, <br />• Click on the Account Detail screen. <br />• Click on the Mod button. <br />• Click on the Closed Account radio button in the Account Status group box in the top right corner of the screen. The <br />check mark should disappear from the Include in Value check box_ <br />• Click on Save. <br />4. Go into lookup and make sure you can find the account you created by account number, business <br />name, location, and Owner Name. <br />• Click on the Lookup (binoculars) button. <br />• Click on the "Indexed By" button on the top of the lookup screen. <br />• Select a method by which to search (ex: Location). <br />• The parcel you just created will likely be displayed in the window.
