REAL ESTATE DATABASE TEST <br />Questions to ask before testing: <br />❑ Does the Jurisdiction have Personal Property? If not, you don't need to execute second part of <br />the test plan. <br />❑ Does the Jurisdiction use income approach? If not you may skip 23 -24. <br />1. Create your data sources.. <br />- - -=----- - - - -•— <br />Go- -to- Start/- P- rog>'ams- /- AssessP -ro -/ - New- Data_Source_ <br />• <br />Click Launch ODBC button. Click on Add button. <br />• <br />Select System DSN Tab. Select SQL Server. Click on Finish button. <br />• <br />In the Name field type: AssessPro - Your Jurisdiction name. <br />• <br />In Server field type: Server name the database is in. <br />• <br />Click Next. <br />• <br />Check "With SQL Server..." radio - button. <br />• <br />Enter Login "apro" and Password "support". Click Next. <br />• <br />Check "Change the default database to" check box. Select database with Your Jurisdiction name. <br />• <br />Click Next. Click on Finish. <br />• <br />Click on Test data source. Make sure test result says Test completed successfully. Click OK 3 times to get to New <br />Data Source screen. <br />• <br />Click Refresh button. Select Data source name you just set. Check box to right to set your Jurisdiction as Default <br />Database. <br />• <br />Type the path name into Update path field (for example): \ \kyle\soft43 <br />• <br />Click Write to the registry button. Click Exit <br />• <br />Make sure that Database Information Paths are correctly named (ask if you not sure what they should be). <br />2. Create Analysis data source. <br />• Repeat step 1, Using AssessPro -Analysis Your Jurisdiction name in the Name field. And select Analysis DBTest <br />in the Default database field. <br />3. Create Counter data source. <br />• Repeat step 1, Using AssessPro - Counter Your Jurisdiction name in the Name field. And select Your Jurisdiction <br />name Database in the Default database field. <br />4. Verify that Jurisdictional Options values are correct. <br />• Click on the Jurisdiction Options button on the Main Menu. <br />• Make sure the following are correct: <br />Parcel Info tab - check Parcel ID descriptions <br />Parcel ID 1 =Map <br />Parcel ID 2 = Block <br />Parcel ID 3 = Lot <br />Note: sometimes these vary. If they are not Map, Block, Lot just make note to check that they are set correct for the <br />Jurisdiction you are working on. <br />• Legal information tab - check that all information appears reasonable. Information can be missing except the <br />following <br />Municipal name <br />Report heading (typically also the Jurisdiction name) <br />• Appraisal Date should be 01 /0l /Current year. <br />• Valuation options tab - royal blue fields should be populated with data. <br />5.
