16 <br />Advisory Board on Aging with the County Manager's Office. <br />Accomplishments: 2010: <br />1. Restructured Aging Transitions budget to create an `Aging In Place' fund of local dollars <br />(County funds/private donations) that can provide or purchase services that meet the needs <br />without the restriction of federal/state funding requirements. <br />2. Applied to Triangle United Way for funding to purchase meals for persons under 60 years of <br />age with disabilities who attend the senior centers but are not old enough to qualify for the <br />Senior Lunch Program. <br />3. The Friends of the Seymour Center and the Central Orange Senior Center committed to <br />provide the funds to enable to both locations to continue opening two evenings per week and <br />Saturday mornings (Seymour only). <br />4. ARRA funding was received for support of the Senior Lunch Program through September <br />2010. <br />Recommendations for 2011: <br />1. Implement the United Way-funded meal program for senior center participants under 60 who <br />have disabilities. <br />13 <br />
