TAYLOR, AIA
Corley Redfoot Zack, Inc., is pleased to submit to you our fee proposal to
Associate
provide design services for the above - referenced project. We look forward to
HARRY M. JENSEN
working with you on this very important project for Orange County.
Associate
KENNETH E. SMITH
The proposal is based on our understanding of the project from information
Associate
gathered at a staff meeting held on August 4, 2004, subsequent telephone
conversations with you and Paul Thames, County Engineer, a meeting with
Lori Taft, Recreation and Parks Management Director on a visit to her
department's leased facility, and from a conversation with Margaret Haith of
the Town of Hillsborough's Planning Department regarding the approval
process for this project.
It is our understanding that the proposed facility will be located on an
PO Box 2368 undeveloped piece of property within the existing Orange County Public Works
Chapel Hill, NC 27515 -2368 facility and that vehicular access will be provided directly off of the paved
service road that connects NC 86 to the Public Works site. We understand that
222 Cloister Court no road improvements or NCDOT approvals are required. In addition, it is our
Chapel Hill, NC 27514 -2212 understanding that the existing utilities are adequate to service the proposed
facility. In terms of the size and location, Hillsborough's non - residential water
and sewer capital services fees are estimated to be $70,000.
The proposed facility is to house the Orange County Recreation and Parks
Operations Base, including building and outside storage needs, as well as
storage areas for other County departments, such as, E.M.S., Board of Elections,
etc. It was noted at the August 4th meeting that additional programmatic
information would be provided to the Designer regarding space needs and
design criteria. It was further noted that CRZ would work directly with you to
(919) 942 -8586 Telephone plan a facility that maximizes the building area within the established budget,
(919) 929 -4802 Fax while accommodating the highest priority needs and allowing for planned
future expansion.
