222 <br />Recommended strategies for addressing <br />- List of potential future UDO amendments <br />What is it important? <br />- Purposeful incremental steps <br />- Get the UDO framework in place <br />- Continue implementation of Comprehensive Plan <br />- Help set context and priorities for future amendments <br />- Potential blueprint for next steps <br />When will County receive? <br />- To coincide with BOCC receipt of Planning Board recommendation on draft UDO <br />- Target: February 15, 2011 BOCC meeting <br />- Present Implementation Bridge to Planning Board at its March meeting <br />Additional Information <br />- Received letter from Town of Chapel Hill late Friday (11/19) regarding the UDO <br />o Petition submitted by a Town of Chapel Hill Council member at the Town's <br />November 15, 2010 meeting. <br />- Letter requests information from the County's Planning Department <br />- Planning staff is working with Town staff on this issue as the normal JPA Agreement <br />Process has been followed <br />Recommendation for BOCC <br />- Receive the proposed Unified Development Ordinance <br />- Conduct the Public Hearing and accept public, BOCC, and Planning Board comment on <br />the proposed Unified Development Ordinance. <br />- Refer the matter to the Planning Board with a request that a recommendation be <br />returned to the Board of County Commissioners in time for the February 15, 2011 BOCC <br />regular meeting <br />- Request that our JPA partners provide any written comments by January 24, 2011 <br />- Adjourn the public hearing until February 15, 2011 in order to receive and accept the <br />Planning Board's recommendation and any written public comments submitted to the <br />Planning Board at or prior to its December 1 meeting. <br />Brian Crawford asked if the Planning Board or the Board of County Commissioners had any <br />questions about the presentation. <br />Commissioner Gordon pointed out the emails from the public and read them into the record. <br />These emails will be included in the record of this hearing. Basically, the emails are asking for more <br />time to learn more about the implementation of the UDO and to delay the UDO decision until the <br />public has had more time to review it. <br />
