11 <br />Definitions to be added to the UDO <br />The following are existing definitions found on page 6 -13 of the Zoning Ordinance. They were <br />inadvertently omitted from the Definitions article of the UDO and should be included in the UDO. <br />Habitable Rooms <br />Rooms designed and used for living, sleeping, eating, cooking, or combinations thereof. <br />Bathrooms, toilet compartments, closets, halls, storage rooms, laundry and utility spaces, <br />basement recreation rooms, and similar areas are not considered habitable rooms. <br />Walls, Primary <br />Walls containing primary windows and /or main exterior entrances to individual living quarters <br />when directly facing the primary wall or other living quarters <br />Walls, Secondary <br />Walls containing only secondary, or secondary and tertiary, windows. <br />Walls, Tertiary <br />Windowless walls or walls containing only tertiary windows. <br />Windows, Primary <br />Principal windows in habitable rooms except bedrooms and kitchens. <br />Windows, Secondary <br />Windows of habitable rooms other than primary windows, as defined above. <br />Windows, Tertiary <br />Windows other than for habitable rooms. <br />The following is a term requested by the Planning Board to be defined: <br />Conditional Districts <br />A zoning technique authorized by N.C.G.S. 153A -342 which allows for the imposition of mutually <br />agreed upon individualized development conditions as part of the legislative rezoning process. <br />The Conditional Use District and Conditional Zoning Districts are subsets of the term Conditional <br />Districts. Land may be placed in a conditional district only upon petition of all of the owners of the <br />land to be included; said petition must be approved following the procedures set forth in Section <br />2.9 of this Ordinance. <br />
