AGREEMENT BETWEEN ORANGE COUNTY AND UNC HOSPITALS FOR MEDICAID <br />CASEWORKERS <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign a contract between Orange County and <br />UNC Hospitals for three hospital based DSS Medicaid Intake Caseworkers. <br />CC. SUBGRANT BETWEEN NORTH CAROLINA AGRICULTURAL & TECHNICAL STATE <br />UNIVERSITY AND COMMUNITY BASED PUBLIC HEALTH INITIATIVE <br />The County Commissioners approved a subgrant agreement between the North Carolina <br />Agricultural and Technical State University and the Community-Based Public Health Initiative and authorized <br />the Health Director to sign the subgrant agreement. <br />DD. SECTION ONE BEAVER VALLEY - PRELIMINARY PLAN <br />This item was moved to the end of the Consent Agenda for separate consideration. <br />EE. AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ORANGE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND THE UNC <br />SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY FOR THE SMART START PROGRAM <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign a contract acquiring the services of the UNC <br />School of Dentistry to provide students and faculty to conduct oral health screening, examinations, education <br />and preventive treatment for 0-5 year old children in Orange County day care, home care and clinical <br />settings. <br />FF. AMENDMENTS TO AGREEMENT FOR HILLSBOROUGH FIRE INSPECTIONS <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign the renewal agreement between Orange <br />County and the Town of Hillsborough whereby County personnel perform State mandated fire inspections on <br />behalf of the Town. <br />GG. GRANT AWARD FOR EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SERVICES <br />The County Commissioners approved accepting by signature the grant award for Emergency <br />Management services to purchase a computer and software so the county's Emergency Management <br />Agency can manage chemical information for planning purposes. <br />HH. LEASE RENEWAL APPROVAL - STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA COMMUNICATION TOWER <br />SITE <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign the renewal for a lease with the State of <br />North Carolina for .26 acres on Eno Mountain. <br />11. BID AWARD - EFLAND ESTATES <br />The Board approved (1) awarding the bid for site improvements for the Efland Estates CDBG <br />Program to Carl Norris Construction Company of Burlington, North Carolina for an amount of $127,377, (2) <br />approving construction contracts, contingent upon staff and attorney review and (3) authorizing the Chair to <br />sign on behalf of the Board.
