RENEWAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN OCHD AND JOCCA <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign a Renewal Agreement between the <br />Orange County Health Department and the Joint Orange-Chatham Community Action Agency for the <br />purpose of supporting the goals of the Kellogg Foundation Community Based Public Health Initiative <br />project in Orange County. <br />K. EFLAND ESTATES DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT <br />This item was moved to the end of the Consent Agenda for separate consideration. <br />L. RENEWAL OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT ON HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE <br />DISPOSAL <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign the renewal of an interlocal agreement <br />for the disposal of household hazardous waste between Orange County and Triangle J Council of <br />Governments, the administrators of the program. <br />VOTE ON THE CONSENT AGENDA: UNANIMOUS <br />ITEMS REMOVED FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />C. APPOINTMENT OF TAX ASSESSOR <br />D. APPOINTMENT OF TAX COLLECTOR <br />John Smith and Ginger Rolfe were commended for a job well done. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Carey to <br />reappoint John Smith, Jr. as Orange County tax Assessor and to reappoint Ginger Rolfe as Orange <br />County Tax Collector for a period of two years, effective July 1, 1997. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />G. CLASSIFICATION PLAN AMENDMENT _ GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) <br />MAPPING <br />Personnel Director Elaine Holmes explained this amendment. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis to (1) <br />establish the new class of GIS Mapper II at Salary Grade 66 ($25,928 - $41,226) and (2) establish the <br />new class of GIS Assistant at Salary Grade 63 ($22,398 - $35,615) <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />H. COMMUNITY BASED PUBLIC HEALTH INITIATIVE CBPHI PHASE II GRANT <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis to <br />approve and authorize the Chair to sign an agreement between the University of North Carolina-Chapel <br />Hill and the Orange County Health Department to fund the Community Based Public Health Initiative for <br />a fifth year from October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1997. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />1.
