Intensive Home Visiting Program <br />Grant Project Ordinance <br />Be it ordained by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners that pursuant to Section <br />13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the following grant project is <br />hereby adopted. <br />Section 1. The project authorized is the Intensive Home Visiting Demonstration Program as <br />awarded to the Orange County Health Department by the North Carolina Division <br />of Women and Children's Health, Department of Health and Human Services. <br />The planned project period continues until June 30, 2005 This grant provides <br />funding for 2.5 permanent, time - limited positions through the grant period. The <br />grant provides funds to decrease child abuse and neglect, improve parent -child <br />interaction, ensure adequate use of preventive family support services, improve <br />children's health and development, and improve the service delivery system in <br />Orange County by decreasing fragmentation and duplication. <br />Section 2. Under the terms of the agreement, Orange County will administer the grant as <br />fiscal agent. The officers of the County are hereby directed to proceed with the <br />grant project within the rules and regulations contained in the grant document, <br />the rules and regulations of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human <br />Services and the budget contained herein. <br />Section 3.
