Resolution of Intent to Adopt the 2004 -05 Orange County Budget <br />Revenues: <br />4) The total current expense appropriation for Schools is $46,736,614. The appropriation to <br />the Chapel Hill- Carrboro City Schools is $28,816,278 and the appropriation to the Orange <br />County Schools is $17,920,336. The per pupil allocation is approved at $2,623. <br />5) The recurring capital outlay for both school districts is $2,015,654 and is hereby - <br />appropriated $1,242,787 for Chapel Hill- Carrboro City Schools for recurring capital. There <br />is hereby allocated $772,867 for Orange County Schools for recurring capital. <br />6) The property tax rate shall be set at 88.4 cents per $100 of assessed valuation. <br />7) The Chapel Hill- Carrboro City School District Tax shall be set at 20 cents per $100 of <br />assessed valuation. <br />8) The Fire District tax rates shall be set at the following rates (all rates are based on cents per <br />$100 of assessed valuation): <br />• <br />Increase Intergovernmental Revenue to recognize <br />7.3 cents <br />1. <br />unanticipated Emergency Animal Rescue Services contract <br />2.0 cents <br />• <br />monies from Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro <br />18,320 <br />2' <br />Reduce recommended property tax rate from 89 cents per <br />4.65 cents <br />• <br />$100 valuation to 88.4 cents <br />606,707) <br />3.1 <br />Increase appropriation from fund balance <br />5,215 <br />Total Changes to Recommended Revenues <br />(583,172) <br />4) The total current expense appropriation for Schools is $46,736,614.
