In February, the Board of Commissioners authorized a Human Services Task Force and <br />charged it to present recommendations on: measurable county-wide outcomes in human services, human <br />service priorities and the acceptable minimum service levels (safety net) for children and families, and current <br />resources and the gaps in resources. <br />Dr. Richard Edwards, Dean, UNC-School of Social Work and Chair of this Task Force <br />presented this final report. A special work session will be scheduled at one of the County Commissioners' <br />work sessions to discuss the Task Force recommendations, implications for human service priorities and <br />funding, and an implementation plan. <br />The Board received this report as information. <br />B.
