196 <br />that the area of notification be broadened. She thinks that towers need to be placed away <br />from primary residences because of the adverse affects on the young and the elderly. She <br />would like for there to be consideration of natural habitat and the flight pattern of birds, etc. <br />in reviewing the towers. She thinks that the diagrams are hard to understand on the map <br />and there needs to be clear identification for adjacent property owners. <br />Noah Ranells pointed out to the County Commissioners that if they were interested in <br />promoting agriculture, it would be much nicer for farmers to see their sites listed with the <br />sites for consideration rather than OWASA or Duke Power. <br />Craig Benedict said that he has noted all of the comments and they can be addressed as <br />the public hearing proceeds to the Planning Board and back to the County Commissioners. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis <br />to forward this item to the Planning Board for a recommendation to be returned to the <br />BOCC no sooner than August 19, 2003. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Barry Jacobs and seconded by Commissioner <br />Halkiotis to close the public hearing. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />5.
