Organization <br />ORIENTATION AND TRAINING: <br />Orange County will make available for citizen advisory committee <br />members and department staff periodic training on state and County goals <br />and priorities as well as relevant statutes and policies, including open <br />meetings, public records, conflicts of interest, and ethics. <br />a. Each member shall attend an orientation presented by Orange County <br />department to familiarize the citizen advisory committee <br />members with the operation of County government, the <br />department, and the rules and operating procedures of the citizen <br />advisory committee. <br />b. Each voting member will be encouraged to complete the orientation <br />within #) [weeks, months] of his or her appointment and <br />participate in at least one (ride-along, site visit, training session]. <br />c. Citizen advisory committee members will be issued a manual and should <br />become familiar with its contents. <br />Note: Some jurisdictions offer a standard orientation for CAC members.
