15 <br />Ezhibit A <br />BILL DRAFT 2011 <br />1 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED <br />2 AN ACT TO REPEAL TITLE VII OF SESSION LAW 1987-460 REGARDING THE <br />3 DISCLOSURE OBLIGATIONS OF THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE ORANGE <br />4 COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS. <br />5 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: <br />6 SECTION 1. Pursuant to the mandate of N.C.G.S. §160A-86 requiring local <br />7 governing boards adopt a Code of Ethics by December 31, 2010, the Orange County Board of <br />8 Commissioners adopted a Code of Ethics on June 1, 2010. <br />9 SECTION2. Included in the .adopted Code of Ethics are disclosure requirements <br />10 for the Orange County Commissioners substantially similaz to those mandated by Session Law <br />11 1987-460. <br />12 SECTION 3. It being unduly burdensome to Orange County to be the sole North <br />13 Carolina County subject to disclosure requirements both pursuant to a local act and a Code of <br />14 Ethics, Title VII, containing sections 19-26, of Session Law 1987-460 is repealed. <br />15 SECTION 4. This act becomes effective when ratified. <br />
