(Local) <br />Sponsors: Senator Kinnaird. <br />Referred to: <br />1 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED <br />2 AN ACT TO PROHIBIT THE HUNTING OF DEER WITH DOGS IN ORANGE COUNTY. <br />3 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: <br />4 SECTION 1. It is unlawful to hunt deer or attempt to take deer with the aid of dogs <br />5 at any time. <br />6 SECTION 2. Violation of this act is a Class 3 misdemeanor. <br />7 SECTION 3. This act is enforceable by law enforcement officers of the Wildlife <br />8 Resources Commission, by .sheriffs and deputy sheriffs, and by peace officers with general <br />9 subject matter jurisdiction. <br />10 SECTION 4. This act applies only to Orange County. <br />11 SECTION 5. This act becomes effective October 1, 2011, and applies to acts <br />12 committed on or after that date. <br />i~i~~i'imin'i~ <br />
