8.8.21.2 Standards of Evaluation <br />The following specific standards shall be used in deciding on an application for <br />this use. <br />a) Lot size shall be adequate for the method of sewage disposal proposed,. <br />and for the proposed recreational uses. <br />b) The site plan should show the boundaries of the site, the distances to the <br />nearest residential structures, proposed or existing access points, parking. <br />and service areas, location of outdoor recreational facilities, and location <br />of existing or proposed buildings. <br />c) The landscape plan shall be at the same scale as the site plan and <br />should show how the facilities will be screened from the adjacent <br />properties, in addition to proposed or existing trees, shrubs and ground <br />cover. <br />d) Elevations of all structures and buildings. The structure shall be of such a <br />nature as to preserve the residential character of the area. <br />e) There are no adverse impacts on the adjacent roads or residential <br />property. <br />8.8.22 Waste Management Facility, Hazardous and Toxic (Class A Special Use) <br />8.8.22.1 Additionallnformation <br />In addition to the information required in Subsections 8.2 and 8.8, the following <br />shall be supplied as part of the application: <br />a) A copy of the application filed with the North Carolina Department~of <br />Human Resources, Division of Health Services for a hazardous waste <br />management facility. <br />b) A detailed description of the type facility planned. Included in this <br />description will be the size of the project, size of the site, the type storage <br />involved, and the method of permanent disposal anticipated. <br />c) Letters from the appropriate agencies that the facility has adequate <br />protection against fire, vandalism and personal injury. <br />d) Survey of floodplain and floodway location on the site plan. <br />e) An emergency management plan that has been submitted to the <br />appropriate North Carolina State agency, and approved. <br />8-26 <br />
