Commissioner Pelissier made reference to the slide about bus service and picking the <br /> NC 54 corridor or Martin Luther King, Jr. She asked about the process of making this decision. <br /> Craig Benedict said that MLK was thought originally to connect Carolina North down to the <br /> south. The NC 54 Corridor Study found that it cannot handle what is anticipated to come to <br /> the corridor in the future. <br /> Commissioner Jacobs said that before any committees are set up or before there is an <br /> open house, he wants to decide about the %2-cent sales tax and whether or not to put it on the <br /> ballot next year.
