(Reports are public records available <br />through the regional ombudsman.) <br />• Serve as a central point for fostering increased community involvement in long -term care <br />facilities. <br />• Promote community education and awareness of the needs of residents in long -term care <br />facilities. <br />• Work toward keeping the public informed about aspects of long -term care and the <br />operation of homes in the county. <br />Advisory Board's Most important Accomplishments: <br />• Advocacy for individuals and the Long Term Care System in Orange County. <br />• Providing insights to members of the Department of Aging and their Advisory Board. <br />1 of 4 <br />
