2 <br />Health Department <br />2. The Health Department has received the following additional funds: <br />• Dental donation -receipt of a $400 donation from a local dentist to be used for <br />denta{ clinic operations. <br />• H1N1 Influenza funds -notification from the North Carolina Department of Health <br />and Human Services of the receipt of H1N1 funds totaling $80,000. These funds are <br />intended to support H1N1/Pandemic Influenza (including seasonal flu) operations. <br />These funds must be expended by May 31, 2011. <br />This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds for the above stated <br />purposes. (See Attachment 1, Column 2) <br />3. The Health Department has received a $500 donation for use in the department's <br />Intensive Home Visiting grant program. The department plans to use the funds for <br />educational supplies related to the program. The Department of Social Services has received notification from the State of the. <br />following additional revenues: <br />• Child Day Care -- receipt of $26,102 to provide childcare services and subsidies to <br />low-income families. <br />• Energy Administration Program -receipt of $34,196 from the Low Income Energy <br />Assistance Program (LIEAP) to help administer the Crisis Intervention Program. <br />• Crisis Intervention Funds -receipt of $173,971 to provide for the heating needs of <br />Orange County residents in crisis. <br />
