Year-To-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2005-06. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Library Services <br /> 1. The Orange County Library has received a literacy grant totaling $875 from the Wal-Mart <br /> Foundation. These grant funds will be used to offer additional children's services programs <br /> to its patrons. There is no County match required for the receipt of these funds. This <br /> budget amendment provides for the receipt of these grant funds. (See Attachment 1, <br /> column #1) <br /> Department on Aging <br /> 2. The Eldercare division within the-Department on Aging has received notification of additional <br /> National Family Caregiver Support grant funds totaling $26,172 for this fiscal year. These <br /> funds will be used to purchase additional services from local agencies for at-risk individuals <br /> and provide training and support for their caregivers. There is no County match for the <br /> receipt of these funds. These additional funds bring the total budget for this program to <br /> $56,292 for FY 2005-06. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds. <br /> (See Attachment 1, column #2) <br />
