_ ---. , <br />`~r <br />s. _" <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />ORANGE COUNTX <br />SEWER BILLING AND COLLECTING AGREEMENT <br />c~9-cs~ - fy. ~d- <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 24th day of <br />March 1988 , by and between ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH GAROLINA <br />hereinafter referred to as County, and ORANGE-ALAMANCE WATER <br />SXSTEM, ING., hereinafter referred to as Contractor: <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the County is the owner of wastewater collec- <br />tion and pumping facilities serving the Efland/Cheeks area of <br />Orange County, hereinafter referred to as "the System;" and <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor is a non profit corporation <br />providing water service to customers in the same area of Orange <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, the County and the Contractor are authorized <br />by law to enter into agreements pertaining to the. provision of <br />water and wastewater facilities and services; and <br />WHEREAS, the County has requested the Contractor to <br />perform billing and collecting services required by the County <br />for its operation of the System; and <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor has the ability to and is will-- <br />ing to perform these billing and collecting services pursuant to <br />the terms a.nd conditions of this agreement. <br />NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual <br />terms and agreements hereinafter set forth, the County and the <br />Contractor do agree as folly ws: <br />
