Public Hearings <br /> a. Public Hearing and Consideration of Resolution Authorizing Application to <br /> the Local Government Commission to Issue Up to $103.6 Million in General Obligation <br /> Refunding Bonds and Financing of$2 Million for Computer Hardware/Software and <br /> Communications Equipment <br /> The Board held a public hearing and considered approving a resolution authorizing <br /> application to the Local Government commission to issue up to $103.6 million in General <br /> Obligation Refunding Bonds and to finance $2 Million in computer hardware/software and <br /> communications equipment. <br /> Financial Services Director Clarence Grier summarized this item. He said that as the <br /> economy has turned, interest rates have been low, and this provides an opportunity to look at <br /> the debt and refinance some debt, which provides a savings.
