09/15/2005 17 <br />Division 2. ADMINISTRATION.* <br />*Cross references: Administration, ch.2. <br />Sec. 42 -66. Designation of Floodplain Administrator. (4) <br />The Zoning Officer of Orange County hereinafter referred to as the " Floodplain <br />Administrator ", is hereby appointed to administer and implement the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />(Ord. of 8 -28- 1995, § 3.3, eff. 8 -28 -1995) <br />Sec. 42 -67. Establishment of Floodplain development permit. <br />A Floodplain development permit shall be required conforming to the provisions of this <br />Ordinance prior to the commencement of any development activities within SFHA as determined in <br />Section 42 -37. Change from development permit <br />(Ord. of 8 -28 -1995, § 3.3, eff. 8 -28 -1995) to a floodplain development <br />permit (5) <br />Sec. 42 -68. Floodplain development permit and certification requirements. <br />1. Plans and Application requirements. Application for a Floodplain development permit <br />shall be made to the Floodplain Administrator on forms furnished by the County prior to any <br />development activities proposed to be located within flood prone areas. The following <br />items /information shall be presented to the Floodplain Administrator to apply for a <br />Floodplain development permit. <br />(5) a) A plot plan drawn to scale which shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following <br />specific details of the proposed floodplain development: <br />More <br />specificity as <br />per NC <br />Flood Act of <br />2000 <br />L The nature, location, dimensions, and elevations of the area of <br />development /disturbance; existing and proposed structures, driveways, utility <br />systems, grading /pavement areas, fill materials, storage areas, drainage facilities, <br />and other development; <br />ii. The boundary of the SFHA as delineated on the FIRM or other flood map as <br />determined in Section 42 -37 or a statement that the entire lot is within the SFHA; <br />iii. Flood zones) designation of the proposed development area as determined on the <br />FIRM or other flood map as determined in Section 42 -37; <br />iv. The boundary of the floodway(s) or non - encroachment area(s) as determined in <br />Section 42 -37; <br />
