Year-To-Date Budget <br />Summary <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No. .~ = a <br />et Amendment #4 ~~ <br />PUBLIC HEARING: (Y/N) No <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Clarence Grier, (919) 245-2453 <br />PURPOSE: To approve budget ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2010-11. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Housing and Community Development <br />1. The Housing and Community Development Department has received additional funds of <br />$2,485 from the United Way in support of the Project Homeless Connect program within <br />the Homelessness Partnership program, as well as the receipt of $2,300 from the N.C. <br />Department of Health and Human Services for reimbursement related to collecting data <br />and preparing the annual Accomplishment Report of the 10-Year Plan to End <br />Homelessness. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional <br />funds in the Community Development Fund for the above stated purposes. (See <br />Attachment 7, column #7) <br />Solid Waste Enterprise Fund <br />2. The -Solid Waste Department has received funds of $3,000 from officials of the Talking <br />Phone Book to pay for advertising related directly to phonebook recycling. Radio and <br />print ads will be scheduled in local media reminding residents and businesses to recycle <br />their old phonebooks as the new Talking Phone Books are distributed: This budget <br />amendment provides for the receipt of these funds in the Solid Waste Enterprise Fund <br />for the above stated purpose. (See Attachment 7, column- #2) <br />
