Link, Jr. , Assistant <br /> County Managers Albert Kittrell and Rod Visser, Economic Development Director <br /> Ted Abernathy, Clerk to the Board Beverly A. ADDITIONS OR CHANGES TO THE AGENDA <br /> Chair Carey added to the agenda under reports the Midway Development <br /> Commission report. <br /> COUNTY MANAGER'S COMMENTS <br /> John Link introduced the new Director of Recreation and Parks Bob Jones. <br /> He noted that Bob has served 11 years as the Athletic Supervisor in that <br /> department and on several occasions served as interim director. <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COMMENTS <br /> Commissioner Halkiotis noted for the record that it takes 31 minutes to <br /> travel from northern Orange to the meeting place. He recently moved from <br /> Chapel Hill township to Hillsborough township. <br /> Moses Carey was inducted into the North Carolina Association of County <br /> Commissioners as President of the Association for 1993-94 . He was praised for <br /> his leadership by the members of the Board. <br /> II. AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br /> A. MATTERS ON THE PRINTED AGENDA <br /> Chair Carey indicated that those citizens who have expressed a <br /> desire to speak on an item on the printed agenda will be recognized at the <br /> appropriate time. <br /> B. MATTERS NOT ON THE PRINTED AGENDA - NONE <br /> PUBLIC CHARGE - Chair Carey dispensed with the reading of the Public Charge. <br />
