Healthy Carolinians Program <br />Grant Project Ordinance <br />Be it ordained by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners that pursuant to Section <br />13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the following grant project is <br />hereby adopted. <br />Section 1.The project authorized is the Healthy Carolinians Program in the Orange County <br />Health Department. The purpose of this grant program is to provide a plan to guide <br />and assist the County in planning and implementing health care strategies to promote <br />healthy lifestyles, improve health status and prevent premature death and injury for all <br />residents in the County regardless of age, race, income or education. <br />Section 2.The officers of the County are hereby directed to proceed with the grant project within <br />the grant document and the rules and regulations of the grantors. <br />Section 3.The following revenue is anticipated to be available to complete this project: <br />1992 -93 Grant Funds - CHAP <br />$52,820 <br />1993 -94 Grant Funds - CHAP <br />$93,884 <br />1994 -95 Grant Funds - CHAP <br />$93,626 <br />1995 -96 Grant Funds - CHAP <br />$82,160 <br />1996 -97 Grant Funds - CHAP <br />$33,750 <br />1997 -98 Grant Funds - CHAP <br />$11,250 <br />1998 -99 Grant Funds - Community Health Initiative <br />$30,028 <br />1999 -00 Grant Funds - Community Health Initiative <br />$20,463 <br />2000 -01 Grant Funds - Community Health Initiative <br />$46,717 <br />2001 -02 Grant Funds- Community Health Initiative <br />$49,056 <br />2002 -03 Grant Funds - Community Health Initiative <br />$51,575 <br />2003 -04 Grant Funds - Cate B.
