These efforts have ,been comprehe�sive aud involved the �• ' • <br /> assistance of UNC Institute of Government Consultants. �.. � <br /> Reviewed were: the allocatiori of. sta£f time to. each current advisory board and <br /> commission; whether.by-laws and operationa,l_guidelines wei-e::corisistexit among the <br /> groups; the mission and goals:of each;group; if�groups aclueved theii objectives; or, does <br /> overlap exist between groups hindering or�delaying befEer outcomes. _ ` <br /> County Commissioners spent many.hours.involvecl in this review process. They heard <br /> from members of various boards and commissions. County commissioners reached <br /> general consensus to move forward on several fronts. Budget issues also impacted <br /> considerations.
