05/12/2005 <br />31 <br />v. Designation, accompanied by documentation, of a location outside the SFHA to <br />which the temporary structure will be moved. <br />b. The above information in shall be submitted in writing to <br />the leeal Floodplain Administrator for review and written approval. <br />7. Accessory Structures. When accessory structures (sheds, detached garages, etc.) -=T <br />of $3,000 e ess, are to be placed within a SFHA, the following criteria shall be met: <br />a. Accessory structures shall not be used for human habitation (including work, sleeping, <br />living, cooking or restroom areas); <br />b. Accessory structures shall be designed to have low flood damage potential; <br />c. Accessory structures shall be constructed and placed on the building site so as to offer the <br />minimum resistance to the flow of floodwaters; <br />d. Accessory structures shall be firmly anchored according to Section 42 -91; <br />e. All service facilities such as electrical and heating equipment, shall be installed according <br />to Section 42 -91; and <br />f. Openings to relieve hydrostatic pressure during a flood shall be provided below <br />rcburacvey -TCVVCapivz�nw.c :conforming to subsection (5) of this section; <br />g. An accessory structure with any dimension that is twelve feet or less in height, <br />width, or depth does not require an elevation or flood proofing certificate. <br />Elevation or flood proofing certifications are required for all other accessory <br />structures according to Section 42- 68(3); and <br />h The accessory structure shall meet all zoning and building code requirements. <br />8. Additions/Improvements. <br />a. Additions and/or improvements to pre -FIRM structures whereas the addition and/or <br />improvements in combination with any interior modifications to the existing structure <br />are: <br />i. Not a substantial improvement as defined and does not require a zoning or <br />building permit, the addition and/or improvements must shall be designed to <br />minimize flood damages and mu shall not be any more non - conforming than the <br />existing structure. <br />ii.
