~~~~ ~/ <br />~ ~_ <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />A RESOLUTION PROVIDING COMMENTS TO THE DURHAM-CHAPEL HILL- <br />CARRBORO TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE REGARDING THE <br />DRAFT 2006 -2012 TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation has considered the <br />Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization's (DCHC MPO) <br />Priority List for the 2006 -2012 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), and <br />has released the Draft 2006 -2012 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) <br />for public comment; and <br />WHEREAS, Orange County, as a member of the DCHC MPO, has participated <br />in the development of the Durham-Chapel Hill- Carrboro (DCHC) Metropolitan Priority <br />List for the 2006 -2012 STIP; and <br />WHEREAS, the DCHC MPO Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) is <br />charged with the development of the Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program <br />(MTIP), which is consistent with the STIP; and <br />WHEREAS, Orange County may offer additional comments on this draft <br />Transportation Improvement Program at a later date; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners that the Board submit the attached comments to the DCHC <br />Transportation Advisory Committee to be considered in the development of the final <br />2006 -2012 DCHC Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner ,seconded by Commissioner <br />the foregoing resolution was adopted this the _~Z day of , <br />2005. <br />I, Donna Baker, Clerk to the Board of Commissioners for the County of Orange, North <br />Carolina, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing is a true copy of so much of the <br />proceedings of said Board at a meeting held on May 17, 2005, as relates in any way to <br />the adoption of the foregoing and that said proceedings are recorded in the minutes of . <br />said Board. <br />WITNESS my hand and the of said County, thi~~day of ,2005. <br />®<sa~~ ~Or <br />f <br />$i~ i t . <br />17 ~a' ~MF-~'(:~~~-? <br />Clerk to the Board of Commissioners <br />~~ <br />~ P}j <br />~&i <br />
