Box 8181 # <br /> Hillsborough,NC 27278 <br /> Dear Chair Foushee: <br /> F <br /> Subject:Board Appointment <br /> At the November 10, 2009 meeting of the Advisory Board on Aging the current <br /> applications for membership to the Advisory Board were reviewed.The Advisory Board <br /> on Aging recommended that Mr.Michael Symons be considered for nomination to <br /> vacant position#9 as an at-large representative. <br /> Mr. Symons is retired from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill where he was a <br /> Professor of Biostatistics. He has been an Orange County resident since 1969. <br /> Mr. Symons has served in a voluntary capacity with many community organizations. He <br /> has been a member of the Friends of the Seymour Center Board for six years and is <br /> currently its Vice-President. In addition to his role on the Friends Board,Mr. Symons <br /> has been an invaluable volunteer at the Seymour Center as well as a participant in many <br /> of its programs. <br /> Mr. Symons has attended several Advisory Board meetings and expressed interest in <br /> becoming a member.
