Please inc}udc how you expect this grant to <br />impact public safety and/or crime prevention in your community (250 words or less) . <br />* Please type Your response below <br />grange County Emergency Management will utilize this funding to upgrade the technology in our 9-1-1 Center to provide better <br />dispatch and communication services for law enforcement and other emergency responders in the county. We plan to purchase <br />additional radio equipment allowing us to migrate to an 800 MHz trunked radio system facilitating better communications <br />interoperability. This grant will impact public safety and crime prevention by allowing all law enforcement agencies in the county to <br />communicate with one another, as well as with other emergency response agencies.. This system will also allow communication wi#h . <br />the state Highway Patrol and Department of Transportation which might be necessary when chasing suspects and/or dealing with <br />emergencies on the highways. <br />
