Wellness Program Pre-Planning Checklist <br />The following are key components of successful wellness programs. These questions are <br />included to help you to think about the areas involved in putting together a program and to identify <br />the areas that will need attention in the planning stage. <br />1. County Support <br />A. Strong support from top management is critical in developing and maintaining a <br />wellness program. <br />What do you think is management's current level of support? <br />X Very supportive <br />Somewhat supportive <br />Not supportive at all <br />Do you think you will need assistance in generating management support? <br />No <br />X Yes. Please identify as best you can what type of assistance would be <br />helpful. <br />Further research/documentation to present that wellness programs are cost <br />effective. <br />Don't know <br />B. How do you anticipate your governing board will respond to a wellness program? <br />We feel they will be very supportive. Already have the support of the county <br />manager, personnel department, and department heads. Will now go to County <br />Commissioners with our proposal. <br />15 <br />
