Financial Services Director Clarence Grier said that they chose a month with three pay <br /> periods to make it easier for employees, which would be October. <br /> Human Resources Director Michael McGinnis continued to explain this procedure. He said that he <br /> received eight anonymous letters from staff over the summer and some sentiments expressed <br /> relate to this item specifically and how the Board dealt with the budget. He said that he regrets <br /> throwing $500,000 on the floor during the budget without thinking of the employees. He thinks <br /> that the employees feel threatened by this economy and the changes taking place. He said <br /> that one way to address this is to have an opportunity where employees can ask questions of <br /> the senior staff before this is put into play. <br /> Frank Clifton said that there is an Employee Relations Committee and this issue has <br /> been discussed several times with employees.
