11 <br />OTHER <br />38)** Recognize the benefits that public libraries across <br />North Carolina provide to residents as noted in the <br />attached North Carolina Public Library Directors' <br />Association resolution (Exhibit C), and support an <br />increase in funding to the State Aid to Libraries <br />Program as detailed in the resolution; <br />39)** Support a ban on video poker, or, in the alternative, <br />provide State funding to reimburse County Sheriffs' <br />Departments for expenses incurred by the Departments as <br />part of State-mandated Departmental monitoring of video <br />poker machines and operations; <br />40)** Seek legislation to increase flexibility in the use <br />of fees generated for the Emergency Telephone System <br />Fund (E911), both wireline and wireless, to expand the <br />ability of counties or other public safety answering <br />points (PSAPs) to use these funds for acquisition or <br />lease of any and all computer hardware and software or <br />communication equipment, and any related training, that <br />is associated with receiving, processing or dispatching <br />emergency calls (whether received from landline or <br />wireless sources) for, law enforcement, fire, medical, <br />11 <br />
