`��. <br /> 1 Section 3.3 Preparation of Desi�nation Reuort <br /> 2 Amended <br /> 3 6/7/1993 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 The Historic Preservation Commission shall,within 30=-days of the receipt of a complete I <br /> 6 application, make or cause to be made an investigation and report on the historic, architectural, <br /> 7 archaeological or cultural significance of the building, structure, site, area or object proposed for <br /> 8 designation. The 30=-day period may be extended with the consent of the applicant. Such report � <br /> 9 shall consist of a concise statement of exactly what is being proposed for designation and shall <br /> 10 include,but not be limited to, the following: <br /> 11 <br /> 12 il�.- The name and address of the current property owner. I <br /> 13 <br /> 14 �2�.- A map showing the location of the property, including any buildings and appurtenant I <br /> 1 5 features. � <br /> 16 <br /> 17 �3�.- Photographs that clearly depict the building, structure, site, area or object proposed for � <br /> 18 designation, including facades, details, and siting. Where outbuildings are proposed for I <br /> 19 designation, they shall be described,photographed, and mapped as well. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 �4�.- An assessment of the significance of the site and/or structure in terms of its historical, � <br /> 2 2 prehistorical, architectural, or cultural importance. The assessment should include an <br /> 2 3 architectural or archaeological description and a historical discussion of the site and/or <br /> 2 4 structure, including the date of construction and any later alterations. Where land is <br /> 2 5 included in the proposed designation, the report shall clearly justify its inclusion. <br /> 26 <br /> 2 7 Section 3.4 Initial Consideration of Designation Report bv Commission <br /> 2 8 Amended <br /> 2 9 2/22/2006 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 (a? The Departme�it of Environment, A�ricult�ire, Parks and Recreation�^����^r���°�* I <br /> 32 u�,a ���;,����° �'^��^°� �*���� n°M��-*„�°�* shall submit the application for historic landmark <br /> 3 3 designation and accompanying designation report to the Commission at the first regular meeting <br /> 3 4 after the expiration of the 30=-day period specified in Section 3.3 or any extension thereof. � <br /> 35 <br /> 3 6 �_Prior to the meeting of the Commission at which the application and report will I <br /> 3 7 be considered, written notice shall be sent by certified mail to the affected property owner and all <br /> 38 adjacent owners not less than seven(7) days before the meeting date. Adjacent property owners <br /> 3 9 are those whose names and addresses are currently listed in the Orange County tax records and <br /> 4 0 whose property lies within 500 feet of the affected property. <br /> 41 <br /> 4 2 (c) At the meeting, the Commission may accept the designation report, accept it with I <br /> 4 3 amendments, reject it or recommend it for further study. No property shall be accepted for <br /> 4 4 designation as a landmark unless it is deemed and found by the Commission to be of special <br /> 4 5 significance in terms of its historical,prehistorical, architectural, or cultural importance, and to <br /> 4 6 possess integrity of design, setting,workmanship, materials, feeling, and/or association. <br /> 47 <br /> 4 8 (d) If the report is accepted or accepted with amendments, the Commission shall � <br /> 4 9 forward a copy to the N.C. Department of Cultural Resources in accordance with the provisions <br /> 5 0 of Section 3.5 below. <br /> 8 <br />
