�s. <br /> 1 � <br /> 2 Section 2.10 Board Action Subsequent to Public Hearing <br /> 3 <br /> 4 (a) Upon complying with the historic district designation procedures set forth above, � <br /> 5 the Board of Commissioners may consider the adoption and from time to time the amendment or <br /> 6 repeal of an ordinance designating a historic district. However, the Board of Commissioners <br /> 7 shall not consider enactment of a proposed ordinance unti160 days after the date of the public <br /> 8 hearing or until the Commission prepares its recommendation, whichever comes first. The <br /> 9 Board of Commissioners may: <br /> 10 <br /> 11 -�1.-� Approve the designation as proposed; <br /> 12 -�2.-� Approve the designation subject to conditions; or <br /> 13 -�3�.- Deny the designation. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 (b) Upon the establishment of a historic district, its boundaries shall be shown on the � <br /> 16 official Orange County Zoning Atlas, and the use and development of any land or structure <br /> 17 within a historic district shall comply with use regulations and dimensional requirements <br /> 18 applicable to the underlying zoning district. For each building, structure, site, area or object <br /> 19 located in the historic district, the waiting period set forth in Section 4�45_9 tvs�of this ordinance � <br /> 2 0 shall be observed prior to its demolition. <br /> 21 <br /> 2 2 Article 3. Procedures for Designating Historic Landmarks <br /> 23 <br /> 2 4 Historic landmarks, as provided for in this Section,may be designated, amended or <br /> 2 5 repealed,but not until the following procedures have been carried out. <br /> 26 <br /> 2 7 Section 3.1 Inventorv Required <br /> 28 <br /> 2 9 !a) As a guide for the identification and evaluation of landmarks,the Commission � <br /> 3 0 shall, at the earliest possible time and consistent with the resources available to it,undertake an <br /> 31 inventory of properties of historical, architectural,prehistorical, and cultural significance within <br /> 3 2 the unincorporated portions of Orange County. <br /> 33 <br /> 3 4 (b�Following completion of the inventory,the Commission shall submit a copy of � <br /> 3 5 the inventory as expeditiously as possible to the Division of Archives and History. The <br /> 3 6 Commission shall also notify each property owner of the significance of his/her property andlor <br /> 3 7 the structures located thereon. The Commission shall also inform the property owner of the <br /> 3 8 procedures for requesting designation of his/her property as a historic landmaxk. <br /> 39 <br /> 4 0 Section 3.2 Procedure for Submission of Application for Designation <br /> 41 <br /> 4 2 To receive consideration for designation of a property as a historic landmark, a property <br /> 4 3 owner must make application on forms provided by the Commission. Application for such <br /> 4 4 designation is on a voluntary basis by the owner as currently listed in the Orange County tax <br /> 4 5 records. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 � <br /> 7 <br />
