92� <br /> 1 (a�As a guide for the identification and evaluation of historic districts, the � <br /> 2 Commission shall, at the earliest possible time and consistent with the resources available to it, <br /> 3 undertake an inventory of properties of historical, architectural,prehistorical, and cultural <br /> 4 significance within the unincorporated portions of Orange County. ', <br /> 5 �� <br /> 6 (b) Following completion of the inventory, the Commission shall submit a copy of � <br /> 7 the inventory as expeditiously as possible to the Division of Archives and History. The <br /> 8 Commission shall also notify each properiy owner of the significance of his/her property and/or <br /> 9 the structures located thereon. The Commission shall also inform the property owner of the <br /> 10 procedures for designation of historic districts. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Section 2.2 Preparation of Designation Renort <br /> 13 Amended <br /> 14 6/7/1993 <br /> 15 � <br /> 16 If,upon completion of the inventory and the notification of property owners, a property <br /> 17 owner or properly owners, the Commission or the Board of Commissioners wishes to <br /> 18 recommend the designation of a historic district or districts, the Historic Preservation <br /> 19 Commission shall make or cause to be made an investigation and report which includes the <br /> 2 0 following: <br /> 21 <br /> 2 2 �l.-� The names and addresses of the current owners of property in the proposed district(s). � <br /> 23 <br /> 2 4 �2.-� A map showing the boundaries of the proposed district(s). � <br /> 25 <br /> 2 6 �3.-� Photographs that clearly depict the buildings, structures, sites, areas or objects included � <br /> 2 7 in the proposed district(s). <br /> 28 <br /> 2 9 �4.-� An assessment of the significance of the buildings, structures, sites, areas or objects in � <br /> 3 0 terms of their historical,prehistorical, architectural, or cultural importance. The <br /> 31 assessment should include an architectural or archaeological description, including the <br /> 3 2 date of construction and any later alterations. <br /> 33 <br /> 3 4 �5-1 Proposed amendment to the Zoning-Ordinance and Zoning Atlas to establish the historic I <br /> 3 5 district as an overlay zoning district. <br /> 36 <br /> 3 7 �6.-� Proposed design review principles and guidelines governing new construction and I <br /> 3 8 exterior changes to buildings, structures, and appurtenant features within the historic <br /> 3 9 district. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Section 2.3 Initial Consideration of Desi�nation Report bv Commission <br /> 4 2 Amended <br /> 4 3 2/22/2006 <br /> 44 <br /> 4 5 (a) Upon completion of the designation report, the Department of Environment, I <br /> 4 6 Agriculture, Parks and Recreation�' °"* ^^�' �'°°^��r^° r^„�°r��^+;^r n°�^°r*�,°n shall <br /> 4 7 submit its findings to the Commission. Prior to the meeting of the Commission at which the <br /> 4 8 report will be considered, written notice shall be sent by certified mail to all affected property <br /> 4 9 owners not less than seven(7) days before the meeting date. Properiy owners are those whose <br /> 5 0 names and addresses are currently listed in the Orange County tax records. <br /> 4 <br />
