Order of Business at Meetings <br /> While reviewing the Rules of Procedure for the revisions associated with the Design Standards and <br /> department name change, staff noticed that the HPC has strayed slightly from the order of business outlined in <br /> the Rules of Procedure document. Hillsborough named Preservation America Community <br /> Members recognized the efforts of the Alliance for Historic Hillsborough in having Hillsborough named a <br /> Preservation America Community, and asked staff to prepare a letter of congratulations to review at the next <br /> meeting. <br /> b. Determining the next steps for the County Scenic Corridor Map <br /> Members decided to postpone this item until the next meeting. <br /> c. Updates & Information Sharing: Local Landmark Candidate and Schedule, Stabilization <br /> efforts, Membership, CLG Education requirement, Unified Development Ordinance, and any <br /> remaining items outlined in the minutes of the last meeting. <br /> Moon went over the Local Landmark approval schedule with the HPC to describe the formal application <br /> process for Murphey School. Staff has set a meeting with Mr. Miller to review his application and once <br /> complete, place Murphey School on the agenda for formal Local Landmark consideration. <br /> Moon provided a brief update on the stabilization efforts at the Blackwood property. The barn project is more <br /> than halfinray finished, and the house has a new roof and gutter system. <br /> Staff encouraged HPC members to attend some or all of the upcoming Preservation North Carolina conference <br /> for its continuing education requirements. <br /> Staff provided updates on the Unified Development Ordinance. <br /> ITEM#7: INFORMATIONAL ITEMS <br /> a.
