Major Modifications. Major modifications listed below require a <br /> 14 Certificate of Appropriateness approved by the Historic Preservation <br /> i s Commission. These activities are examples of building alterations, site <br /> 16 changes, new construction or demolition which require a Certificate of <br /> 1� Appropriateness. <br /> is <br /> 19 a. Exterior changes to the primary building or other struciures on <br /> 2 o the property, not included in the normal maintenance and minor <br /> 21 improvements list. Such changes include types or styles of <br /> 22 windows, doors, porches, decks, roofs, and lighting fixtures. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 b. Alterations in exterior architectural details, such as additions or <br /> 2 s changes in style of porch railings, gutters, shutters, brackets, <br /> 2 6 molding, gingerbread or other decorative work. <br /> 27 <br /> 2 a c. Removal and/or severe pruning of healthy plant materials as well <br /> 2 9 as the installation of new plant material which alters the character <br /> 3 0 of the site. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 d.
