<br /> 2 9.3. COA Expiration. The COA expires six (6) months after the date of
<br /> 3 issuance, or, in the case of demolition, six (6) months after the effective
<br /> 4 date of the Certificate, if the work authorized by the Certificate has not
<br /> s been commenced. If, after commencement, the work is discontinued for
<br /> 6 a period of si�c (6) months, the Certificate shall expire immediately. No
<br /> � work authorized by a Certificate that has expired shall be performed
<br /> 8 until a new Certificate has been obtained.

<br /> 12 all respects with the application approved by the Historic Preservation
<br /> 13 Commission. Where changes or modifications are proposed to the
<br /> i 4 approved application, the renewal of a Certificate shall be considered as

<br /> i 7 SECTION 10: Appeals of Commission Action Involving a COA

<br /> 2 0 10.1. Appeals Time Limit. The Historic Preservation Commission hereby
<br /> 21 establishes that appeals to the actions of the Commission in granting or
<br /> 22 denying any COA shall be filed with the Board of Adjustment within
<br /> 2 s thirty (30) days of the day of the Commission's decision.

<br /> 25 SECTION 11: Administrative Approval of COAs
<br /> 2 6 The following lists provide examples of the types of activities for which a
<br /> 2� Certificate of Appropriateness is and is not required and provides guidance for
<br /> 2 s administrative approval of COAs.

<br /> 3 0 11.1. Normal Maintenance. The Historic Preservation Commission considers
<br /> 3 i the following activities to be routine maintenance of historic properties.
<br /> 32 The following activities do not require a Certificate of Appropriateness.
