To establish procedures for organizing the business of the 9 Orange County Historic Preservation Commission, hereafter referred to lo as the Commission, in executing its duties and responsibilities. 11 12 1.2. General. The Commission shall be governed by the terms of the i 3 Historic Preservation Commission Ordinance and by the terms of 14 Chapter 160A, Article 19, Part 3C, of the N.C. General Statutes as they 1 s may be amended or revised and by these rules to the extent that they do 16 not conflict with the law. For procedures not covered by these rules, the 1� Commission shall follow the rules contained in Robert's Rules of Order, i 8 Revised, except that the legal requirements for Certificates of i 9 Appropriateness will supersede Robert's Rules. � 20 2 i SECTION 2: Of�cers 2 2 Amended 23 2/24/1993 24 2/22/2006 2 s 2.1. General. The Commission shall be composed of seven (7) 2 6 members, all of whom shall have demonstrated special interest, 2� experience, or education in history, architecture, landscape architecture, 2 s archaeology or related fields. All members shall reside within the 29 territorial jurisdiction of Orange County. 30 3 i 2.2. Chair. The Chair shall preside at all meetings and public 32 hearings, make committee appointments, and decide all points of order 33 and procedure subject to these rules unless directed otherwise by a 34 majority of the Commission in session at that time. The Chair shall have 3 5 the right to vote but shall not have the right to break a tie vote in which 3 6 he or she participated. 37 3s 2.3. Vice Chair.
