These services <br />include care provided by home health agencies, licensed home care agencies, .hospice <br />agencies, adult day care and adult day health care facilities, and home medical equipment <br />companies. In-home health, hospice and community based services build upon a strong <br />tradition of care and compassion and strive to keep families intact and responsible while <br />preserving an individual's independence and dignity in the setting of their choice. <br />These agencies deserve the public's support and thanks for the services they provide to <br />individuals, families and the community as a whole. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with the proclamation. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the proclamation <br />designating November as "Home Care and Hospice Month" in Orange County and authorize the <br />Chair to sign the proclamation. <br />
