575 <br /> 13 . 2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the <br /> following grant project is hereby adopted. <br /> Section 1. The project authorized addresses the needs of women and <br /> children in Orange County who are victims of domestic <br /> violence as awarded to the Orange County Sheriff's <br /> Department by the North Carolina Department of Crime <br /> Control and Public Safety. <br /> Section 2. The officers of the County are hereby directed to proceed <br /> with the grant project within the grant document, the rules <br /> and regulations of the North Carolina Department of Crime <br /> Control and Public Safety and the budget contained herein. <br /> Section 3. The following revenues are anticipated to be available to <br /> complete this project: <br /> Intergovernmental - Domestic Violence $ 41, 429 <br /> Section 4. The following amounts are appropriated for this project: <br /> Public Safety - Domestic Violence $ 41, 429 <br /> Section 5. This ordinance supersedes all previous Domestic Violence <br /> Grant Project Ordinances. <br /> Section 6. The finance officer is hereby directed to maintain within <br /> the Grant Project fund sufficient specific detailed <br /> accounting records to provide the accounting to the grantor <br /> agency required by the grant agreement and federal and <br /> state regulations. <br /> Section 7. Funds may be advanced from the General Fund for the purpose <br /> of making payments due. Reimbursement requests should be <br /> made to the grantor agency in an orderly and timely manner. <br /> Section 8. Copies of this grant project ordinance shall be made <br /> available to the finance officer for direction in carrying <br /> out this project. <br /> Section 9. R This ordinance is effective July 1, 1991. <br /> B. ADDITIONAL IN-HOME CARE PROVIDER AGREEMENTS <br /> The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign provider <br /> agreements adding Medical Personnel Pool and Triangle Home Health Care, <br /> Inc. to the group of In-Home care providers used to provide service as <br /> funded through a contract with Triangle J Council of Governments, at a <br /> rate not to exceed $9.50 per service hour. <br /> C. APPROVAL OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR PROVISION OF LEGAL <br /> SERVICES TO THE ELDERLY <br /> The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign a <br /> Memorandum of Understanding with North State Legal Services for <br /> provision of legal counseling and assistance for Orange County residents <br /> sixty years and older who exceed North State's income eligibility <br />
