These standards include maintaining or promoting the public health, safety, and general welfare, <br />maintaining or enhancing the value of contiguous property, and the use being in compliance with the general plan for the <br />physical development of the County. <br />The Planning Board & Staff have reviewed the application, the site plan, and all supporting documentation and has found that <br />the applicant has submitted information for the specific standards and requirements. Provided the Board of County <br />Commissioners finds in the affirmative on the specific and general standards, the Planning Board & Staff recommend approval <br />of the request. The Planning Board & Staff do recommend the attachment of conditions to the approval which are specified as <br />follows: <br />1. That a telecommunications tower be added to the listing of permitted uses in the zoning district. <br />2. Any lighting on the Telecommunications tower shall be shielded so as not to be seen from the ground for a <br />distance of one mile at the height of twelve degrees (120) vertical. <br />3. The navigational lighting shall be white, rather than red, and the strobe period shall be the longest under FCC <br />regulations. <br />4. The height of the telecommunications tower may not exceed three hundred fifty (350) feet, including the 30 -foot <br />antenna at the top of the tower. <br />5. The area subject to this Planned Development — Office /Institutional (PD-01) zoning district is now 34.737 acres. <br />
