HCCBG Funding Plan <br />PURPOSE: To approve budget ordinance amendments and capital project ordinances for fiscal <br />year 2006 -07. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Department on Aging <br />1. The Department on Aging has received additional Health Promotion and Disease Prevention <br />funds totaling $2,909. The Department will use these funds, along with the original budgeted <br />amount of $2,683 for FY 2006 -07, to purchase a treadmill for the new Seymour Senior <br />Center in Chapel Hill. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional <br />funds for the above stated purpose. (See Attachment 1, column #1) <br />Commissioners Contingency <br />2. At its September 12, 2006 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners approved an <br />appropriation of $1,750 from Commissioners Contingency to help cover the estimated cost of <br />recognizing personal and professional contributions of volunteer fire and rescue departments <br />and "ham" radio operators that serve Orange County Citizens. This budget amendment <br />appropriates $1,750 from Commissioners Contingency for the recognition program. With <br />this appropriation, $16,333 remains in Commissioner Contingency for FY 2006 -07.
