Beatty, Secretary <br />November 13, 2006 <br />To County Emergency Management Representative: <br />H: Dougtas Hoell, Jr,., Director <br />Enclosed for signature are the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) Annual Grant <br />Award agreement and the Cost Report -Fiscal Year 2006, which allocates your FY 2006 EMPG amount. <br />Please note this year that there are two award amounts. The "Annual Grant Award Amount" is the award <br />for each county based on a specific formula applied to awarded federal monies. This "Annual Grant <br />Award Amount" is to be used to pay county Emergency Management salaries and benefits, The <br />"Supplemental Amount" award is for additional EMPG funding the state provides above the annual grant <br />award amount. <br />This year the NC Division of Emergency Management was able to provide an additiona131 <br />supplemental amount monies to the counties above the annual grant award amount. We <br />encourage you to use this supplemental amount award to better enhance your Emergency <br />Management capabilities. <br />Upon receipt of these documents, please acquire the authorized signatures. Once all signatures are <br />affixed, the originals are to be returned to your appropriate Branch Office by Friday, December 8, 2006., <br />The NC Division of Emergency Management will coordinate with the Department of Crime Control and <br />Public Safety to ensure that your grant award is paid in a timely manner. <br />The performance period for the EMPG awards is October 1, 2005 to March 31, 2007. Pages 2 and 3 <br />of the EMPG Annual Grant Award agreement outlines the objectives you needed to complete for this <br />year's activities. <br />If you have any questions or need technical assistance to complete your required activi#ies, please <br />contact your Area Coordinator.
