Repair approximately two (2) sheets of damaged siding and two hound <br />ears with matching thickness plywood. Note: All damaged trim and siding <br />shall be inspected by the Rehabilitation Specialist before new vinyl <br />siding and trim is installed. <br />2. Install fan fold insulation and Double Five (D-5) vinyl siding on all <br />exterior siding. Install all necessary vinyl corners, J-channel and <br />utility trim. Note: Vinyl siding to be properly installed. <br />3. Prepare the soffit and trim for aluminum coil stock and vented soffit. <br />Remove a 12 inch section of soffit along the rear, front and front porch <br />overhangs. Install vented soffit in the overhangs. Install solid <br />soffit in the gable overhangs and aluminum coil stock on all exposed <br />exterior trim including door and window brick molding. <br />Install solid soffit over the gable vents and on front porch ceiling. <br />Note: All vinyl soffit and aluminum coil stock to be properly <br />installed. <br />Side Porch Slab & Door: <br />1. Remove the side storm door, door unit and porch slab to the ground. <br />Repair the damaged foundation band and sill. (Approximately 4 ft) <br />Install pressure treated matching lumber. <br />2. Install a Oft x Oft pressure treated landing and steps. Install a 2x 10 <br />band with 2x6 floor joists. Installs/4" decking for porch floor. <br />Install3ft wide steps heading toward back of unit. Install a handrail <br />on one side of the steps. Install all necessary flashing, galvanized <br />bolts and nails. A permit is required. All work shall pass inspection <br />with the Chapel Hill Inspection Department. <br />3. Install a new nine lite exterior door unit on side porch. Install <br />anew keyed lockset and double cylinder deadbolt keyed alike. <br />Install matching casing on the interior. Prime casing with an oil <br />based primer. Paint casing with semi-gloss latex paint. <br />New door to open, close and lock properly. <br />
